Pro Staff

AP Tackleworks has great relationships with guides and serious anglers who are on the water consistently in all conditions and can provide feedback on new lure designs. We work with professional guides and hardcore anglers from the salt to fresh water around the North Pacific and across North America where we've found that the lures excel in many more situations than just what they were designed for. This community of anglers have helped shape the lures to where they are and will continue to give direction into the future developments of the product line.

Roy Carver (left in picture) is the owner/operator of Blue Wolf Charters The guy on the right has what most people get from fishing with Roy; a great big smile. Born and raised in beautiful Victoria, BC, Roy has a lifetime of salt water and freshwater fishing experience on the ocean, lakes and rivers here on Vancouver island and elsewhere in BC. Roy knows the waters around Southern Vancouver Island and often puts his clients on fish when many aren't getting a bite. Aside from being a great angler, he is a great guy to be on a boat with and loves sharing his knowledge with new and seasoned anglers.

Roy has fished the line of spoons with great success for his clients in the waters of Sooke, BC, catching predominantly large Chinook salmon. The fish above was a 32lb Chinook caught on the signature Blue Wolf, AP Herring Spoon (UV Blue/UV Blue/Glow). We are truly fortunate to have a master such as Roy and his gracious angling hospitality enabling world class testing in the Chinook rich waters of Sooke, BC.

Brad Knowles - The Pemberton Fish Finder- Pemberton BC

www.pembertonfishfinder.com

Brad was born and raised in Pemberton, British Columbia Canada. As a young boy, the small town of Pemberton didn’t offer the youth many things other than great fishing. So every waking moment Brad would be seen fishing the local rivers and lakes on a daily basis. In 1976 his father opened Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, and how fitting he had his two boys running the shop who were both very avid in hunting, camping and most of all … fishing.

Later on Brad’s local knowledge and ability to help people catch fish would come in handy. Soon he ventured away from the family business to work as a angling guide for 5 years. In those 5 years he stared in his own fishing show called ELITE FISHING which was seen by 100,000 people a week on Whistler Cable. Brad has made a name for himself as the man to see if you want to catch fish. Now back working at Spud Valley Sporting Goods Ltd, “The Family Business”, Brad loves working with his brother Sheridan and father Ivan. Brad’s ability to catch fish makes him one of the Best Guides in Canada. He has a passion for fishing and seeing other people catch fish!

Brad has been testing the spoons in the lakes around Pemberton and has hooked up with some very impressive rainbow trout and other species in the area.

Kelly Aspinall - Bamfield Sportsfishing - All over BC

His fishing career began at the age of five after his dad took him down to a local trout pond for the afternoon. Little did either know, that trip would lead into a childhood obsession with fishing that continues to grow to this day and drives Kelly to push his angling skills for salmon, halibut, lingcod and tuna, just to name a few. He recently graduated from UBC with a degree in Environment and Sustainability and currently migrates around the waters of BC like the fish he follows. He splits his time between Nanoose Bay, Victoria, Bamfield and Port Hardy and puts happy fishing clients on fish everywhere he goes. Kelly literally is an aquatic human being a former national record holder and member of the Canada National Swimming Team. He loves to freedive, spearfish, is an avid steelheader and an organizer of the Bamfield Tuna Shootout.
